Healthy Respect Presents "Abstinence Education: A Fresh Perspective" DVD at Federally Sponsored Conference

John P. Margand, CEO of Healthy Respect, unveiled a documentary style DVD, "Abstinence Education: A Fresh Perspective," at a federally sponsored conference which brought together leading Abstinence Educators from 40 organizations in 19 states. The program, which serves teens in the New York metro area, was invited by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to present the DVD, which documents the fresh approach pioneered by an authentic abstinence education program in responding to the crisis in teen sexual health.

The DVD provides excerpts from classroom and peer education activities as well as interviews with students, educators, and community leaders who collaborated to implement the core components of the character-based program.
