"The initial evaluation results suggested that HRYDP was
meeting or exceeding the goals set for itself and meeting the A-H
criteria set by the federal government. These results are significantly
different from the comparison group results. This suggests that
the program is having an impact on students' knowledge & attitudes
in targeted areas."

Program Evaluation:
Healthy Respect
employs an outcome evaluation which scientifically measures the effects
of the program through rigorously developed pre and post-program surveys
of program participants and a comparison group. This approach permits
us to trach changes in program participants’ knowledge and attitudes
in the areas targeted by the program and to assess, through the use of
a comparison group, which changes may be attributable to the Healthy Respect
Program.
The Healthy Respect project employs Dr. Robin Rogers-Dillon, Associate
Professor of Sociology, Queens College, CUNY to conduct our program evaluation.
Dr. Rogers-Dillon has evaluated the Healthy
Respect Abstinence Education program during the Spring of 2006 in
six schools in Yonkers and Brooklyn.
